Winter Just Won't Not DIE!!

     This has been a Long First few Months of the year for many Arkansans. We have had a LATE, but Long Winter. Even at the End of the road, Arkansas Winter just refuses to be Denied. Arkanslushie Returns to The Natural State by Mid-Week with yet another potential Winter Storm on the way. So You guys know me, Let's break everything down step-by-step and figure out what to expect.
      
When It Comes to Timing, I'm thinking Mid-Morning on Wednesday, this will be one of those storms to where, As the day goes along, the temperature drops, stuff change over, it start to stick, and freeze, and the roads get worse. Now this will be a headache for Central Arkansas School teachers, and Students, because the district will cancel early once the changeover has begun and it stick. When It do, they will  dismiss classes. It is figuring out when that will happen that will be the headache. 

What type of precips? Well right now I'm thinking the whole 9 yards. Rain, Changing to Sleet/Freezing Rain, Changing to Snow at the end. Now when Frozen precips fall on to WET surfaces, In order for the stuff to STICK, and ACCUMULATE on a Wet Road, it has to fall FAST AND HEAVY.! Simply because Water traps Heat. Most Snow/Sleet/Freezing Rain Melt when It hit a wet road because, for one, its water, and for two, NOT COLD ENOUGH, and for Three, It doesn't fall Hard enough. So If it does rain, and this stuff changeover during the rain, it will take awhile for the roads to get bad. 

Where will all of this Happen? This far out there is still uncertainty within the Computer Models, but this is looking like a North,Central, and East Arkansas Storm. Anything Could Change. 

How long will it last? This will be a In and out system, Rain Wednesday Morning, Changing to Sleet/FRZ Rain Wednesday Afternoon, Changing to Snow Wednesday Evening, Gone by Wednesday Night. Now Computer Models are soft on Cold air. So I expect this all to get out of here pretty Quick. I doubt this take all day. It never does. 

No Clear Accumulations Have been figured out yet, I'm Working on it.

The Main threats will be Limited Due to the timing of day, and the level of severity will be limited due to the lack of Instability. First Weather Update of 2016 !!!!!!

     Heyy Everybody GoodMorning, and How's it Going!! Thanks for coming here to the Weather Hawk's Blog for the first blog post update of the new year! Overnight Storms

     Hey everybody, how's it going! I hope you guys are having a good day so far. I know I haven't done any weather updates recently, haven't had much going on weather wise, and I'm in the middle of a busy work week, so I just haven't had time to do anything. But I'm making time today, because we have a storm system coming in overnight tonight, and into tomorrow morning. So lets take a dive into it aye.     As far as Timing goes, It's looking like Late this Evening in Oklahoma, Later tonight in West Arkansas, and moving left to right across the state during the Overnight Hours. So for Central Arkansas 12-2AM would be a good bet, and East Arkansas 2-7AM would be a good bet.     As far as what the threats are, well mainly due solely to the timing of the night this will move in, the MAIN threats are Hail, and Damaging Straight Line Winds.
