Lol Armageddon???

Image
Heyy everybody, how's it goin.! I want to start this post off by saying NO, IT IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD. What caused me to make this post is the fact that everybody on my Facebookand Twitter pages is quoting the Bible, and saying the world is ending because of the Flooding. Flooding is a Natural occurance just like Tornadoes, Lightning, and straight lined winds. Flooding is no different. The way Flooding happens is, when you get powerful frontal boundaries to come in and STALL, then multiple rounds of storms systems moves up along that frontal boundary. When this happen you get MULTIPLE shots of Severe Weather and HEAVY rain because these Storm Systems have the ability to pull A LOT of moisture up from the ocean. When these Storm systems come through they will DUMP all of that water that they pull out of the ocean through the evaporation process back out over land. Beneath the ground we live on there is what's called a WATER TABLE its the place all the water goes when

Severe Weather and Flooding Concerns

Image
Hey Everybody how's it going. Just want to start by saying hope you are enjoying your Memorial Day, Save some food for me!!! Salute to all my lost family members, and salute to all of the Soldiers that gave their life for our country. Now down to the niddy gritty.  I made a post yesterday concerning Flooding, well today that is STILL a concern but now we must add Severe Weather to the equation. There's a pretty powerful Low Pressure System spinning out of the Central Plains, it will be lifting north. So with it will come a front, with any front that comes through this time of year strong to severe storms will come with it. This comes through as a broken line of storms, but it's coming from the southwest instead moving directly left to right, it will be moving diagonally, up the I30 corridor, while simultaneously moving East into Central Arkansas. As this broken line of storms come out of North Texas and West Oklahoma, they will have a good amount of energy with them.

Flooding Chances Goes UPP !!!!!!!

hey everybody how's it going!!  Been a little second since I posted here on the blog. Not a lot has been going on with the weather recently. So Ive just been busy getting my stressful life right. Well TRYING at least.  But now rain chances have come back into the forecast, and they come back BIG. now with the last bumbardment of none stop pooring rain that we had did a lot of damage, and caused quite a few headaches. Flooded out numerous parks and recreation areas,  posed a big headache on river dams around the state,  flooded out lots of highways, and even some homes! So its needless to say, flooding while amazing to watch, can be very dangerous, and DEADLY if it's not monitored and treated accordingly. What causes flooding is simple, lots of rain at one time overloades the rivers, and streams, and creeks. They become swollen, and the water overflows everywhere. Storm Drains get overloaded, water back up. The ground get overloaded, water back up.  All of these things cre

SEVERE WEATHER UPDATE for Mother's Day Storms

Image
Hey Everybody, How's it going! Hope everybody is having a SAFE Weekend so far.  I'm doing this update at 10pm Saturday Night,  I want to bring everybody up to speed on everything, and there has been some slight changes made to the Forecast. Okay ao first and foremost, The Frontal Boundary that's allowing all of this rain is still hung up in Oklahoma, I think it will be stalled until tomorrow night. So what this means for us here in Arkansas, well MORE Rain and Storms! The ground is INCREDIBLY saturated everywhere in the state. Some areas of the state have over 5inches of Rain!!!! &Unfortunately with this front taking it's time, it looks like we will add to those totals. So with all this rain in a short amount of time FLOODING becomes a MAJOR problem. Flooding kills more people than tornadoes AND lightning put together. This is because when people are driving they see standing water, and they don't think its that deep and they drive through it anyways, that

Severe Weather Update on Sunday Storms

Image
Hey everybody, how's it going!  I know I haven't done much here on the blog, or on my facebook page.  Nothing has really been happening as far as weather goes,  Arkansas Weather has been fairly quiet.  In which I think that's not a bad thing, given the time of year this is. But as Storm Season wraps up,  it has been pretty uneventful, but that will soon change in a not so big way.  So as far as Sunday Storms. Throughout yesterday and today we've had little waves of moisture to come through the state.  These punches of moisture have been fairly unsevere for the most part. But Sunday we will get a shot at some Strong storms that won't be so weak. So on Sunday a cold front that's expected to be strong is slated to move through the state from left to right. Now with this front the stronger chances for severe weather will be early in the Front's life,  meaning the strongest potential for severe weather will be in West Arkansas. Now this front will move throu
