Flooding Chances Goes UPP !!!!!!!

hey everybody how's it going!!  Been a little second since I posted here on the blog. Not a lot has been going on with the weather recently. So Ive just been busy getting my stressful life right. Well TRYING at least.  But now rain chances have come back into the forecast, and they come back BIG. now with the last bumbardment of none stop pooring rain that we had did a lot of damage, and caused quite a few headaches. Flooded out numerous parks and recreation areas,  posed a big headache on river dams around the state,  flooded out lots of highways, and even some homes! So its needless to say, flooding while amazing to watch, can be very dangerous, and DEADLY if it's not monitored and treated accordingly. What causes flooding is simple, lots of rain at one time overloades the rivers, and streams, and creeks. They become swollen, and the water overflows everywhere. Storm Drains get overloaded, water back up. The ground get overloaded, water back up.  All of these things create what we know as Flooding. FLASH flooding is flooding with no warning. Random flooding from rain,  or any one of the aforementioned factors.  There is a good chance for CENTRAL Sectons  of the state to see upwards of 4inches of rain over the next several days. There are isolated amounts that are HIGHER in different areas of the state.
Here is a map courtesy of the National Weather Service in North Little Rock, I think it's pretty accurate for the most part.  Notice areas in Southwest Arkansas could see upwards of up to 7" of rain.  That's a LOT of water folks.  If you live near Rivers or creeks You ESPECIALLY need to watch this. That's some heavy flooding there guys. Little Rock is in that 4-5" area.  A preety good amount. Enough to flood streets and creeks, and streams.

Here's some great tips and safety procedures to follow regarding flash flooding to make sure you don't get swept away by fast moving water.  This is again courtesy of the National Weather Service in North Little Rock. I think these are great tips on how to NOT Die due to flooding.

Guys just a memo,  do NOT walk into flood waters,  the surface maybe calm, but lots of times there is a water current beneath the surface that's very fast and it will sweep you away. You then will have a 40% chance of survival. Also, do NOT drive into flood waters. It might not LOOK deep but it is and your car will float off and SINK and you could DIE. Simply put,  STAY AWAY from Flood waters So you won't DIE.
