DEVELOPING SIGNIFICANT WEATHER UPDATE: Hurricane Gustav 2.0?????

Hey everybody! How's it Going!? I'm Omarr Wilson, better known as "The Arkansas Weather Hawk" for all the new people tuning in that don't know! I have thousands of New Followers, and I cannot begin to describe to you guys how much the support mean to me! But enough of that, on to this Lady named Laura!! Laura is a brand new Hurricane in the The Gulf Of Mexico that is going NUTS!!!! Typical Woman right 😂😂😂 Laura is taking Dead aim at Arkansas in the next couple of days. ! Laura is bringing some SERIOUS SMOKE to Arkansas, so let's dive into the expectations, and possibilities! No, we're literally about to "DIVE In", in every aspect of the phrase!
Okay, so about Hurricane Laura. What are the Threats? And, where? The Current threats are the whole 9 yards; Wind, Flooding, Severe Weather, Tornadoes, ALL OF THAT! ALL MODES of Severe Weather are 100% Possible with Hurricane Laura, as she makes her way across Arkansas! She's literally about to take us by Storm! Typical Woman Right!?😂😂 All Jokes Aside, the Threats with Hurricane Laura are Real! Dude, there's literally a chance for HALF A FOOT of Rain in certain parts of the state. Half a Foot of Rain, within 24-48 Hours is some definite Flash Flooding issues right there! But get this, there could be higher amounts Locally!!!!! On top of the Flooding, there will be Tropical Storm Force Winds associated with all of this, so with loose soil, and flooding, tree's, and power lines will come down, which mean Power Outages! Just Prepare for it! Now as if that isn't bad enough, Tornadoes, and Strong to Severe Thunderstorms are a threat with ANY Tropical System, due in part to the erratic wind fields, and Instability associated with the System itself. So we will have to deal with that on top of the Flooding, and the the Wind that will be High by default. So obviously, this being said, ALL MODES OF SEVERE WEATHER ARE POSSIBLE HERE!
Now, as far as Where? And, Who will get hit the Worst? For right now, it looks like WEST, AND CENTRAL, AND SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS will get The brunt of Hurricane Laura as it passes on through. See Major Hurricanes, and strong Tropical Systems for one reason, or another, tend to "Run Left," then Curve over to the Right as they move inland. I'm going to post a Storm Track to show you what I mean. But they tend to run West, then when they make Landfall, they swing Hard Right. So Laura is Currently on track to landfall along the Texas, Louisiana Border, then she'll move Due North into Arkansas, that trajectory puts West, Southwest, and Central Arkansas under the Gun, then she Starts to Swing Right in Northern Arkansas, and move Northeast at that point. So it's safe to go ahead and throw North Central Arkansas in the Loop as well at this Point! Now bear in mind, THIS IS A HURRICANE, and their behaviors can be Unpredictable, so this Track can change! If Laura Tracks 10 Miles to the West, Central Arkansas is free. If Laura Tracks 10 miles to the East, then now East Central Arkansas will get in on the fun. So it's ALL DEPENDING ON THE TRACK Who get's how much, but EVERYBODY GET'S SOMETHING!!! Remember that!
Now, as far as Timing. Right Now, Laura just made it into open ocean, she intensified to Hurricane Status earlier than expected, she's moving at about 17-18mph so she'll make Landfall sometime tomorrow (Wednesday, August 26th, 2020) evening as a High-End Category 3 Hurricane, or POSSIBLY CATEGORY 4! If that happens, then you can multiply the Intensity of the threats were facing by 2! She'll make Landfall tomorrow evening, then move North into Arkansas at some point early Thursday, and be gone by Friday.... This is the Current expectations anyways!
This is the current Predicted Track For Hurricane Laura as it makes Landfall and moves North. Now You see what I meant about "Running Left", then "Swinging Hard Right!" Most High‐End Gulf Of Mexico Tropical Systems tend to do that, for one reason or another.  But for US? Hurricane Gustav 2.0 is what this reminds me of!!!!
Look At the Forcasted Rainfall Totals for Arkansas from this, Half of a Foot, to nearly a FOOT OF RAIN!!!! Dude this is a Serious Flooding issue! Now, who gets what depends on the Track. That Red can be Out of Central Arkansas if this thing goes 10 Miles West.... If it Goes 10 miles East, then everybody in East Arkansas is losing their crops!
This is the Predicted Wind Feilds as Laura Moves Inland. She start to really take it down a knotch once she knocks on South Arkansas, but as you can see, Wind will Still be an issue, because even though not AS STRONG, It will still be strong for US!

Now, when I Look at that forecasted track for Hurricane Laura, this throws me back to Gustav! I mean we've been effected by some Tropical Systems over the Years, some Serious, some not. It's pretty common that we get the leftovers from Hurricanes, and Tropical Systems that make a Run at the Gulf Coast. So this shouldn't be too terribly surprising to Arkansans, but this is the first High-End Tropical System we've had to deal with in a while! Usually they landfall, loosen up a bit, then we catch the leftover rain, but this system here is bringing some smoke!!! We haven't had it brought to us like this in a while! Prepare for FLOODING, POWER OUTAGES, AND TORNADOES!!!!! We know ALL TOO WELL what Tornadoes can do, so I don't even need to go there.! Just keep an eye on your surroundings over the next few days!!! Thank You Everybody for Coming here to the Weather Hawk's Blog, and Thank You for trusting me for Weather Information!!!
