When it FINALLY Rain's it POURS!

Hey Everybody, How's it Going!! We finally for the first time in months have managed to get some good, SOLID rain that means anything to our drought conditions that has been going on. Our drought has made history for this particular time of year. Now we have relief. But here lies the problem, you see there's an old saying "When it Rain's, it pours." That old saying is what came to mind when I took a look at the weather pattern over the next week. See this feed of moisture that we've had over the last few days will be moving eastward. But we still have unfinished business.
The remains of what was once Hurricane Patricia, have moved through most of Mexico, and will soon be entering the Golf of Mexico. Thankfully for us, it won't be a Hurricane, it will be a tropical system. Once this tropical system of moisture moves inland, it's trajectory will take it roughly along the Mississippi/Alabama border, which will put the " Blow Off" of the right side of the system towards Arkansas. What this means for us, MORE RAIN. That rain could be Locally Heavy rainfall.
I thought the GFS (Global Forecasting System) weather model did a really good job at picking it up. If this verify this will mean more rain, and possibly lots of it. This could be locally heavy in areas.
Now as if that isn't enough rain when you add in the last few days of rainfall that we've already had. We are looking at the chance for MORE Rain this weekend around Halloween. I HATE TO BE THE DEMON OF BAD NEWS, but according to this GFS Weather Model there is a chance for rain from October 30th-November 1rst.... See below.
Now here's a shot at the GFS Weather Model hinting at a Low pressure system from out of the West moving from Left to Right across the state bringing showers and storms along with it. This is around noon Halloween day.
This is the GFS overnight on Halloween still shows scattered showers and storms around.
Now With that being said, this is Monday, I'm talking about a FULL WEEK away on Saturday! That's a LONG TIME Weather wise. Within the next few days that entire image of this weekend will probably change. But I just felt it was worth a mention because it is something that I noticed. I will see how consistent this model stay with the rain chances and timing over the next few days, and I'll mention it in another update in the future. When we come within time range and other weather models start to see next weekend, I'll compare models. So do NOT get upset about it, remember we are a full week away.

As always I really appreciate everybody for coming here to the Arkansas Weather Hawk's Blog and checking out my weather updates, it really means a lot to me.
