Severe Weather Update 10/20/17: Sunday Storms

     Hey everybody, how are y'all!?  As you can clearly tell by the title, there is a chance for strong to severe weather in the state. That chance is for Sunday Morning/Saturday Night. First of all before all that, I'd like to add, my Official Winter forecast was a huge hit! I really appreciate you guys for coming here to the blog! It means a lot to me!!
     Now as far as Saturday goes, for the most part, it's dry!  There's always your chance for an occasional popup shower of course. But it's dry! Now Saturday Night is pretty much the same..... But, there's a chance for storms and showers to fire up ahead of the cold front that will be advancing into the state from the Northwest. The cold front will bring a Squall Line (Line of Strong to Severe Thunderstorms) with it. This setup will be reminiscent of a spring storm system. Where the Front advance from Left to Right across the state bringing Severe Weather and straight lined winds with it.
This is the Severe Weather forecast from the National Weather Service in North Little Rock. They're keeping the greater concern for severe weather north of Arkansas, with a Slight risk over Northwest Arkansas. Tornadoes are a Very Low, Less Likely Threat due to the timing of this system, and instability, and the lack thereof. But however, high damaging thunderstorm winds, and large hail are DEFINITE threats. 
Most Definitely an opportunity for Widespread rainfall throughout this Weekend from this storm system. I don't expect to see widespread flooding, but FLASH FLOODING is most DEFINITELY a possibly. Widespread Flooding is not likely due to the ongoing drought conditions. 

The Bottom Line: This will be a widespread rain event for the entire state. A widespread severe weather outbreak is NOT expected but I do expect some Severe Weather up North Saturday Night. As far as timing, Saturday Night for Northwest Arkansas..... Overnight Saturday Night into Sunday for Central Arkansas..... Sunday Morning, and afternoon for East Arkansas.      Hey everybody, I hope everybody is having a Fantastic night so far, and I hope everybody is safe. Over the last week, I've been watching a Storm System moving through tomorrow afternoon. The Main threats will be Limited Due to the timing of day, and the level of severity will be limited due to the lack of Instability. See Below.      This is a map courtesy of the National Weather Service in North Little Rock, as you can see here the Primary Threats will be Large Hail, and Damaging Thunderstorm Winds. First Weather Update of 2016 !!!!!!

Overnight Storms

     Hey everybody, how's it going! I hope you guys are having a good day so far. I know I haven't done any weather updates recently, haven't had much going on weather wise, and I'm in the middle of a busy work week, so I just haven't had time to do anything. But I'm making time today, because we have a storm system coming in overnight tonight, and into tomorrow morning. So lets take a dive into it aye.     As far as Timing goes, It's looking like Late this Evening in Oklahoma, Later tonight in West Arkansas, and moving left to right across the state during the Overnight Hours. So for Central Arkansas 12-2AM would be a good bet, and East Arkansas 2-7AM would be a good bet.     As far as what the threats are, well mainly due solely to the timing of the night this will move in, the MAIN threats are Hail, and Damaging Straight Line Winds.
