Staying Storm Ready

     Okay Now we are off into Storm Season here in Arkansas. Now as we get these frontal systems coming out of the west, and mixing with warm air from the south, these scattered Strong to Severe Storms start to form. Primarily in the Late Evening/Nighttime Hours. This year we've had a Few tornadoes, they have caused damage, Some of these storms randomly start to rotate and increase in intensity. Just have to be aware. The worst tornado we've had this year by far was in Tulsa Oklahoma a few weeks ago. Now even today (3:00PM Thursday the 2nd) there is a Chance for Severe Weather in the State. Hail & Wind are the Main concerns. But WHERE EVER YOU ARE IN THE STATE, You should have a Phone, And a NOAA Weather Radio. These two things will alert you when dangerous weather moves your way. If you have Smart Phones, Internet, or Computers, you  can Follow me, and your Local News Station on Social Media so that you have coverage, and you are well aware when dangerous weather comes your way. OLD, YOUNG, Whatever age you are, wherever you are, Tornadoes and Violent Thunderstorms don't discriminate, if you are caught off guard by a Tornado or Dangerous Storm, they can hurt or even KILL you.      Hey everybody, I hope everybody is having a Fantastic night so far, and I hope everybody is safe. Over the last week, I've been watching a Storm System moving through tomorrow afternoon. The Main threats will be Limited Due to the timing of day, and the level of severity will be limited due to the lack of Instability. See Below.      This is a map courtesy of the National Weather Service in North Little Rock, as you can see here the Primary Threats will be Large Hail, and Damaging Thunderstorm Winds. Tornadoes cannot be ruled out, but are not likely.  This will not be a widespread severe weather outbreak. Mainly because this will come as two waves of moisture. The first wave of showers and storms will move through early in the morning on Thursday, SOME MAY BE STRONG. So for those getting up for work, and school, be aware of this. First Weather Update of 2016 !!!!!!

I'm doing this update to inform you guys of our first rain chances of the new year! First for two things aye! Overnight Storms

     Hey everybody, how's it going! I hope you guys are having a good day so far. I know I haven't done any weather updates recently, haven't had much going on weather wise, and I'm in the middle of a busy work week, so I just haven't had time to do anything. But I'm making time today, because we have a storm system coming in overnight tonight, and into tomorrow morning. So lets take a dive into it aye.     As far as Timing goes, It's looking like Late this Evening in Oklahoma, Later tonight in West Arkansas, and moving left to right across the state during the Overnight Hours. So for Central Arkansas 12-2AM would be a good bet, and East Arkansas 2-7AM would be a good bet.     As far as what the threats are, well mainly due solely to the timing of the night this will move in, the MAIN threats are Hail, and Damaging Straight Line Winds.
