Severe Weather SUNDAY: Severe Weather Update

      Hey everybody, how's it going! This weekend there is definitely a chance for rain, there is somewhat a chance of Thunderstorms. With the cooler air forecasted this coming up work week, their will be a front associated with that air (it always set's up that way). But with the cold front coming, there will be storms along and ahead of it. That front will stall out across the state, this is what will allow the cooler temperatures to set in. But a line of storms, and a chance for severe weather comes with the front.
      Okay, what am I expecting? With our weather for tomorrow, with the latest run of the models, I see a chance for Severe Weather to develop, and a chance for a Tornado or two ( THAT CHANCE IS LOW), but the chance for Tornadoes can never be ruled out! Tomorrow will be a mostly quiet day weather wise, with a chance for scattered rain up in the day. But tomorrow evening and night, I will be looking for Thunderstorm development. Tomorrow afternoon, I'm looking at the chance for Severe Weather development in West, and West Central Arkansas. If a storm can get organized tomorrow afternoon and evening in West Arkansas, then I don't see why we wouldn't see a tornado. So this is something you definitely need to keep an eye out for if you live in West Arkansas. I see a wind threat for Central Arkansas tomorrow night. There will DEFINITELY be a Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued for a Major part of Arkansas tomorrow evening, and night, and possibly a Tornado Watch depending on how this stuff develops.
This is the Severe Weather Outlook Map issued by the Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma. As you can see there is big Slight Risk area issued for the West and North 1/2 of Arkansas. What this means is, there is a Slight Risk for Severe Weather within 25 miles of any given point within that area.

Once again, I DO NOT Expect a Major Outbreak of Tornadoes or Severe Weather. But during the Afternoon on Sunday, I do expect Severe Storms in West/Northwest Arkansas the main threats I'm concerned about is damaging Thunderstorm Winds, and Large Hail. Tornadoes are a threat, but not a very high threat at this time, but I will not rule out a Tornado, or Tornadic Storm. As for Central Arkansas, EXACT SAME THREATS just later tomorrow evening, and night! There will DEFINITELY be a Watch of some type to get issued, you will need to pay attention to that, and other warnings that might be near your area.!      Hey everybody, I hope everybody is having a Fantastic night so far, and I hope everybody is safe. Over the last week, I've been watching a Storm System moving through tomorrow afternoon. The Main threats will be Limited Due to the timing of day, and the level of severity will be limited due to the lack of Instability. See Below.      This is a map courtesy of the National Weather Service in North Little Rock, as you can see here the Primary Threats will be Large Hail, and Damaging Thunderstorm Winds. Tornadoes cannot be ruled out, but are not likely.  This will not be a widespread severe weather outbreak. Mainly because this will come as two waves of moisture. The first wave of showers and storms will move through early in the morning on Thursday, SOME MAY BE STRONG. So for those getting up for work, and school, be aware of this. First Weather Update of 2016 !!!!!!

Overnight Storms

     Hey everybody, how's it going! I hope you guys are having a good day so far. I know I haven't done any weather updates recently, haven't had much going on weather wise, and I'm in the middle of a busy work week, so I just haven't had time to do anything. But I'm making time today, because we have a storm system coming in overnight tonight, and into tomorrow morning. So lets take a dive into it aye.     As far as Timing goes, It's looking like Late this Evening in Oklahoma, Later tonight in West Arkansas, and moving left to right across the state during the Overnight Hours. So for Central Arkansas 12-2AM would be a good bet, and East Arkansas 2-7AM would be a good bet.     As far as what the threats are, well mainly due solely to the timing of the night this will move in, the MAIN threats are Hail, and Damaging Straight Line Winds.
