Arkansas 2K18 Halloween Weather Forcast

Hey everybody, I hope you're having a fantastic Sunday Evening! I've been pouring over the model guidance over the past several days, and I've been studying the chances for rain on Halloween day, and night.! I don't think the trick or treaters will like this one! I'm about to talk about rain chances, and temperatures on Halloween day/night, as well as the weather heading into our annual Susan G. Coleman Race For The Cure here in Central Arkansas on Saturday November 3rd.
As far as Halloween goes, there are definite rain chances in the forecast for Wednesday October 31rst 2K18. There will be a front that will move in late Tuesday night and into Wednesday. This front will be strong, so with it will come the chance for ISOLATED Strong to possibly Severe Storms. Now, I'm not expecting a widespread outbreak of Severe Weather, but there is a chance for some storms to be strong to severe. Now, the latest run of the NAM (North American Model) shows the system making it to Arkansas in the wee hours of the Morning on Wednesday, and rapid precipitation expansion around noon for the West half of the State. The NAM has the rain lingering until around 9pm Wednesday night, then moving out by midnight. So if you're in West/Central Arkansas, it will rain all day probably, until late in the night on Halloween. If you live in Southeast Arkansas most of Halloween will be dry, expect rain later on into the night, so wrap up that Trick Or Treating early. If you're hitting haunted houses or parties ANYWHERE in the State, take a coat, and an umbrella!
This is the Latest run of the NAM, as you can see it shows rain for the West, Southwest, and Central 1/2 of Arkansas, this is around Noon on Halloween day. As you guys can see, a shield of rain moving from left to right across the state. I do believe it will mostly be none severe, but there is a chance earlier in the morning on Halloween that we can see some strong storms.
This is the NAM over the next 3 hours on Halloween day. It's showing just more rain development over most of the state except East/Southeast Arkansas.
Now this is the NAM over the next 6 hours by 9pm on Halloween night, as you see the NAM is pushing it on out by late Halloween night over East Arkansas. But notice how the NAM gels' it all into a Line as it moves eastward, strong to possibly severe storms there. That's why I say, if you live in East Arkansas, rap it up by 9pm Halloween Night!

Now, as far as temperatures on Halloween. The daytime highs on Halloween will actually be quite pleasant with a high near 70 degrees by noon on Halloween, but as the day moves along the temperatures will definitely drop by nightfall, down into the low 60s, and mid 50s in some areas of the state. But the temperatures on Halloween day won't be that bad despite the rain. But if you plan on doing any trick or treating on Halloween night, or hitting any haunted houses, wear a coat, and take an umbrella.
This is the NAM by 9pm Halloween night. As you can see, some Low 60s in East Arkansas, but there will still be rain in the area by this time probably, but mid to low 50s for Central, and West Arkansas, chilly behind that front, and probably windy!

The Susan G. Coleman Race For The Cure for Cancer Awareness here in Little Rock is scheduled for the Morning of Saturday November 3rd, at around 6am. Now as of right now, there is no rain expected, but it will be cold, with temperatures forecasted to be in the mid 40s by 6am Saturday Morning by the GFS (Global Forecasting System). Check it out!
This is the Latest run of the GFS weather model, this image is valid by 6am Saturday Morning, so yeahhhhh, it will be chilly! So dress accordingly!

Now, people plz bear in mind, that these are forecast models, and Halloween is still a full 2 days away, and Saturday is still a full work week away so all of this is subject to change, so if anything drastic does change, I will let you guys know! Thank You for coming here to the Arkansas Weather Hawk's Blog! You guys have a great rest of your night!!!
