Overnight Storms

Hey everybody, how's it going! I hope you guys are having a good day so far. I know I haven't done any weather updates recently, haven't had much going on weather wise, and I'm in the middle of a busy work week, so I just haven't had time to do anything. But I'm making time today, because we have a storm system coming in overnight tonight, and into tomorrow morning. So lets take a dive into it aye.
As far as Timing goes, It's looking like Late this Evening in Oklahoma, Later tonight in West Arkansas, and moving left to right across the state during the Overnight Hours. So for Central Arkansas 12-2AM would be a good bet, and East Arkansas 2-7AM would be a good bet.
As far as what the threats are, well mainly due solely to the timing of the night this will move in, the MAIN threats are Hail, and Damaging Straight Line Winds. At First this was expected to move in during the Evening hours, and that raised some Tornado Concern among Meteorologist, but now that the system is expected to move in later in the day, the concern for tornadoes is MINIMAL! I CANNOT RULE A TORNADO OUT, Its Arkansas, anything could happen, but Tornadoes are not a major concern at the moment.
This Map is courtesy of The National Weather Service in North Little Rock. The storm prediction center has issued a Slight Risk for Severe Weather for West and Central Arkansas overnight tonight. There will be a lot of wind energy present with this squal line as it takes shape, and that will present a Straight Line Wind threat to West, and Central Arkansas as this stuff gets going. Now like I said, due to the time of day, the ground heating is VERY LOW, and there is low lift in the air, so the Tornado threat is LOW. Not out of the question, just not likely.

Tonight would be a GOOD night to have your NOAA weather radios on and ready to go, and just stay tuned into my social media as you're getting ready for bed just in case any Warnings or anything goes out for your area. If you have ANY questions, feel free to ask! Thanx for coming here to the Weather Hawk's Blog, have a great rest of your day everybody!!
