**SUNDAY SEVERE WEATHER UPDATE**

GoodMorning Everybody, How's it going.! As you likely know by now there is a developing weather situation later this evening for Arkansas. This severe weather threat comes from a quick moving storm system out of Oklahoma, and Instability out of North Texas. Those two mixed together presents us with the threat of severe weather.. In a Nutshell, Squal line develops this evening in West Arkansas, moves East into Central Arkansas into the Eveing/Nighttime Hours. Main Threats, Hail, damaging winds, Tornadoes ARE A POSSIBILITY with any ISOLATED storms that get organized. Primary Threat is Wind as it moves into East Arkansas later into the Nighttime hours.
This is the Slight/Enhanced Risk area for Arkansas from the Storm Prediction Center in Norman Oklahoma. The slight risk is basically for the entire state, but there and "Enhanced Risk" (Raised Area Of Concern) for the Southwest corner of Arkansas.
This is a closer more in detail breakdown of what the risk for Severe Weather are, and Where. This map is via the National Weather Service In North Little Rock. The main enhanced area of concern is from Texarkana, up the I-30 Corridor on up to Little Rock, MAYBE a little North, and on East to Brinkley persay in East Central Arkansas. South Arkansas, and West Arkansas are in the area of concern as well. Now the MAIN THREATS here are WINDS, AND LARGE HAIL! BUT, before the Squal Line (Line Of Thunderstorms) form, any Isolated (Storm Off To Itself) get organized, then it will DEFINITELY present a Tornado Threat!
Now this is a Simulated Radar Timescale. Basically what the radar is predicted to look like at a certain time in the future. This is courtesy of the National Weather Service in North Little Rock. Now this evening Simulated Radar depicts scattered storms starting to fire in West/Southwest Arkansas. These are the storms to watch because they are likely to be off to themselves, and can quickly present a deadly threat. By this Evening into tonight the line moves into Central Arkansas, at this time it's more of a Wind Threat, BUT we will have to CLOSELY watch little Kinks and Indentations within the line as Spinups Can form into brief tornadoes. With this Line moving at speed, and with momentum, spinups can form out of kinks quickly, and without warning. So we'll have to CLOSELY watch that. By Late tonight into Midnight, the line will be in East Arkansas, and it will be a Wind Threat more than anything else due to lack of ground heating/time of day.

Now In a Nutshell, the chance for Tornadoes is there for Southwest and Central Arkansas, I expect a Tornado Watch to be issued at some point this evening due to the chance for deadly weather. Main Threats are Damaging Wind, and Hail. But Tornadoes are a DEFINITE possibility! Storm Spotter Activation will be LIKELY!!
