THE DEEP FREEZE

As Of 5:00pm In Little Rock check out what the Temperatures are!

As Of 5:00pm here in Little Rock,  It is 28°. And Guess what? The Temps will go DOWN from here. I'm about to show you just how low they will get by Thursday Night. This type of cold air can pose a serious threat to human, plant, and animal life, if not properly looked after. Also Drip your pipes. Spending a few extra pennies on your water bill beats spending Hundreds on a plumber the next day to fix piping. Now Arkansas is no stranger state to harsh winters. I can get really cold in this neck of the woods. But we haven't had this type of cold in a while,  which is what makes it a big deal. So Kids walking to school, DRESS IN LAYERS, Kids Going to Bus stops, DRESS IN LAYERS. Now for everybody else DRESS WARMLY.
Here's what the PROJECTED temperatures are for Thursday Night into Friday Morning. VERY COLD. These Graphics are Via The National Weather Service in North Little Rock.
The Blue outlined area is a Wind Chill Advisory in effect for Areas along the Mississippi River, and Areas in North Arkansas. Wind Chills will get below 10° in certain areas in the Advisory area. Some areas will go down to 0°. The Lake Wind Advisory is the area in the Brown, Very Gusty winds in the Advisory Area which is what will effect those Wind Chills.
Here are some Very Helpful tips from the National Weather Service about how to deal with cold air, and how to prepare for it.

I will also mention, with the assistance of this Slow moving front, and this stubborn Cold air, we have some moisture that will be trying to make it's way into the state. Whenever you get Cold Temperatures and Moisture together thats a recipe for some good Frozen Precipitation. I'm talking about The POSSIBILITY for Freezing Rain/Sleet on Saturday Night into Sunday Morning. Too early to throw some Accumulations out there, but I just want you to BEWARE of it. Sleet changing to Freezing Rain Saturday Night and Sunday Morning, then Changing to Cold Rain on Sunday. I'm expecting LIGHT ACCUMULATIONS.

I Greatly appreciate Everybody for Following my Weather Information and updates on Facebook , Twitter, and here on the Arkansas Weather Hawks Blogg. Be Safe, Dress WARMLY, and have a GoodNight Everybody!!
