Winter Makes A Visit!!!!!

       Winter FINALLY Makes it here to Arkansas. Heyyy everybody, I'm The Arkansas Weather Hawk. Coming at you on this Sunday night with a Weather Update regarding the Extreme Cold moving into the state. Now it's Sunday, It's cold. But Come Tuesday It will get MUCH Colder. Now Imagine Canada, it's cold up there right? That cold air is trapped behind Imaginary Gates that Locks that cold air in Canada and keeps it from tanking south into the states. Now cold air may seep through the gates into the far northern states. But as far as it just busting out and racing south, it can't because its locked into place. Now imagine those gates swinging open. That cold air rushes out and south straight towards us. THATS what I'm  expecting to happen this week. That cold,  bitter, and dry Artic air tanks south into Arkansas and we cool down dramatically. Tuesday Night it will get Cold. So Get ready, Tuesday through Friday of this week will get DANGEROUSLY COLD. I'm talking keep your pipes dripping type of cold. People please be mindful of outdoor PETS, AND PLANTS that you leave outside take them in . DO NOT LEAVE THEM OUTSIDE In that cold. They will die. So if you have outdoor plants or animals if you love them get them indoors . I seriously doubt we get above freezing In between Tuesday or Saturday. Wind will be another big deal. The Wind will be HIGH!! So it will feel a lot colder than the actual air temperature. So dress in Layers. Winter is Officially HERE!

     Hey everybody, I hope everybody is having a Fantastic night so far, and I hope everybody is safe. Over the last week, I've been watching a Storm System moving through tomorrow afternoon. The Main threats will be Limited Due to the timing of day, and the level of severity will be limited due to the lack of Instability. See Below.      This is a map courtesy of the National Weather Service in North Little Rock, as you can see here the Primary Threats will be Large Hail, and Damaging Thunderstorm Winds. Tornadoes cannot be ruled out, but are not likely.  This will not be a widespread severe weather outbreak. Mainly because this will come as two waves of moisture. The first wave of showers and storms will move through early in the morning on Thursday, SOME MAY BE STRONG. So for those getting up for work, and school, be aware of this. First Weather Update of 2016 !!!!!!

     Heyy Everybody GoodMorning, and How's it Going!! Thanks for coming here to the Weather Hawk's Blog for the first blog post update of the new year! I'm doing this update to inform you guys of our first rain chances of the new year! First for two things aye! Overnight Storms

     Hey everybody, how's it going! I hope you guys are having a good day so far. I know I haven't done any weather updates recently, haven't had much going on weather wise, and I'm in the middle of a busy work week, so I just haven't had time to do anything. But I'm making time today, because we have a storm system coming in overnight tonight, and into tomorrow morning. So lets take a dive into it aye.     As far as Timing goes, It's looking like Late this Evening in Oklahoma, Later tonight in West Arkansas, and moving left to right across the state during the Overnight Hours. So for Central Arkansas 12-2AM would be a good bet, and East Arkansas 2-7AM would be a good bet.     As far as what the threats are, well mainly due solely to the timing of the night this will move in, the MAIN threats are Hail, and Damaging Straight Line Winds.
